Robert Henry Dent, 85, of Grayling, passed away on April 16, 2021.
He was born in Midland County, Michigan to the late Arthur and Leota (Conn) Dent on October 2, 1935. Robert had lived in Arizona for 42 years, then Colorado, and returned to Michigan in 2020. He enjoyed riding his sandrail buggy in the desert while living in Arizona.
Robert married the former Joyce Richardson on June 5, 1954 in Farwell, Michigan. Joyce survives him after 66 years of marriage.
Survived by his children: Robert “Rick” (Monica) Dent of Grayling; Beth (Joe) Mendoza of Arizona; and Bryan (Mary) Dent of Roscommon. Robert was also blessed with 17 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren with one due in June, and 2 great great grandchldren, and a special nephew, Larry Zill.
Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty and Joyce; brothers, Kenneth and Ed, and a daughter, Kathy Skaggs.
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Family requests that in lieu of flowers, that consideration be given to a memorial contribution to American Cancer Society.
