Dalton L. Hartwell, 44, of Houghton Lake

Dalton L. Hartwell, 44, of Houghton Lake passed away on Friday March 5, 2021 at his home.

Dalton was born on August 24, 1976 in Grayling, Michigan. Dalton grew up in the Houghton Lake area and graduated from Houghton Lake Community Schools. He then attended Kirtland Community College where he study auto mechanics. Dalton worked in many different jobs and services during his working career. He was always busy working and always would be seen helping someone with a project. Dalton spent many hours as an avid volunteer at the Roscommon County Food Bank. He enjoyed helping people and especially loved spending time at family gatherings.

Surviving Mr. Hartwell are his two brothers, Tony (Robin) Hartwell of Houghton Lake, and Thomas (Brenda) Hartwell of Houghton Lake; sister, Robin Hartwell of Houghton Lake; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dalton was preceded in death by his mother, Mary M. Hartwell.

Celebration of Life Services for Dalton L. Hartwell will be conducted at a later date this summer. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake. Memorial contributions in memory of Dalton are asked to be directed to the family. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
