Thomas Paul Koscinski of Higgins Lake

Thomas Paul Koscinski, age 72, of Higgins Lake, died on Monday, June 10, 2019, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Tom was born February 26, 1947 in Hamtramck, the son of Jerome and Amelia (Mostrag) Koscinski.

Tom married Carol Smith on April 3, 1970 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Detroit, Michigan.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969.  He went to work for the Detroit Edison Company for 36 years.  He retired in 2009 and resided in Higgins Lake, Michigan.  He had a passion for flying his RV-9A.  Tom loved sailing the Mackinac Race and had many numerous hobbies.   

Tom will be greatly missed by family and friends.  He is survived by his beloved wife Carol; sons: Sam (Kari) Koscinski of Manistee, Michigan and Christian (Mary) Koscinski of Annandale, Virginia; grandchildren: Ethan, Nolan, Alivia, Mea, Alyssa, Cayden; brother Charles (Sandy) Koscinski of Oregon; sister Charlene Ellis of Colorado; brother Tim Koscinski of Texas; brother Paul (Linda) Koscinski of Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents and his baby sister Terri Duffey.

            Family and friends will gather on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:30 PM at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.  The Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 7612 West Higgins Lake Drive, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.  The Reverend Father Bernie Tyler will be officiating.

            Tom will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan in the fall.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Tom’s name to the Capuchins, Cleveland Clinic, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Norfolk, Virginia.

            Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
