Sharren Marie Vaughn

Sharren Marie Vaughn, 81, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Monday February 11, 2019 at home with her loving family by her side.

Sharren was born on February 28, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to Edward and Nathalie(Carrow)Keaton. She grew up in the Detroit area and was married on July 18, 1953 in Mt. Clemens to Melvin Lawrence Eisenhardt.  The family moved to Houghton Lake from Roseville in 1982. Melvin preceded her in death on October 30, 1986. In 1996 Sharren was married to Kenneth Lynn Vaughn at Higgins Lake. Kenneth preceded her in death on January 15, 2010.  She worked in Detroit for the Detroit Plastic Infusion Plant.  After moving to Houghton Lake she worked for Mapleview Adult Foster Care for over 20 years. Sharren loved to spend time with her family.

Surviving Mrs. Vaughn are her two daughters, Sandra (Derk) Tingey of Elko, NV, and Karen (James) Hatten of Portland; five sons, Patrick Eisenhardt of Houghton Lake, Larry (Autumn) Eisenhardt of DeForest, WI., William (Victoria) Eisenhardt of New Baltimore, Edward (Hallie) Eisenhardt of Houghton Lake, and Raymond (Sarah) Eisenhardt of Lake Orion; nineteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Sharren was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Shirley Mears, and Charlene Titchenell; brother, Edward Keaton; first husband, Melvin Lawrence Eisenhardt; and second husband, Kenneth Lynn Vaughn. 

Private family graveside services will be held for Sharren Marie Vaughn at Crestview Cemetery, Markey Township.  Memorial contributions in memory of Sharren are asked to be directed to the American Cancer Society. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
