Arland ‘Ozzie’ Aden Osborn of Higgins Lake

Arland ‘Ozzie’ Aden Osborn, 70, of Higgins Lake, passed away Dec. 21, 2017 at home.

Ozzie was born March 14, 1947 in Hartland to Ronald George and Hilda Mae (Redman) Osborn.

Ozzie resided in Higgins Lake since 2006; East Helena, MT area from 1982 to 2006; and Drummond Island from 1975 to 1982.

He served in Vietnam in the US Army from 1964 to 1967.

He operated Ozzie’ Bait and Tackle, a sporting goods store on Drummond Island from 1975 to 1982. He was a heavy equipment operator for Smith Construction in White Hall, MT from 1982 to 2006.

Ozzie was a member of the DAV. He was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, the woods, antiques, riding his Harley and spending time with family and friends. He loved animals, especially his dog Lillie.

Surviving are his children, Brian (Sandy) Osborn of Charlotte and Kellie Osborn and partner, Kate Daffin of Palm Coast, Florida; three brothers, Vern (Ann) Osborn of Fairmont, MN, Jeff Osborn of Hartland and Ron (Sue) Osborn of Fowlerville; and sister, Pam (Frank) Trulson of Higgins Lake.

Funeral services will be held at Gerrish Twp. Cemetery, Roscommon at noon, Jan. 4, 2018. Burial will be at the Gerrish Twp. Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Roscommon County Animal Shelter, 1110 Short Dr., Prudenville MI 48656.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon is serving the family.
