Robert John Allor, Sr. of Houghton Lake

Robert John Allor, Sr., 76, of Houghton Lake passed away Dec. 2, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born March 28, 1941 in Detroit to Hector Robert and Rosemary (Willcoxson) Allor.

He married Karen Louise Leiter Dec. 17, 1960 in Hazel Park.

Robert was a truck driver for about 40 years, having retired from Conway. His favorite hobby was model trains. He was a member of Houghton Lake Eagles and Moose.

Robert served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963.

Surviving are his children, Robert John Allor, Jr., Renee Patrice (Sean) Morgan, and Michael Patrick Allor; grandchildren, Robbie, Aleshia, Bobby, Chelsea, Dean, Paige, Tyler, Nathan, and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Paige, Kylie, Harley, Paisley, Christopher, and Charlotte; brother, Charles Brown; half sisters, Ginger and Patti and half brother, Billy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandmother, Isabelle Kostinecki who raised Robert.

Funeral services will take place Dec. 5, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon with the family officiating, followed by full Military Honors.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon is serving the family.
