Edward Steven Skagerberg of Roscommon

Edward Steven Skagerberg, 66, of Roscommon passed away Dec. 2, 2017 at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital.

Eddie was born in Grayling Sept. 15, 1951 to Ralph ‘Red’ E. and Alice Marie (Hansen) Skagerberg.

He’ a lifetime Roscommon resident.

Eddie was an electrician in the US Navy from 1970 to 1974. He was an EM3.

Eddie was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Roscommon. He was a life member of the DAV # 39, Inland Lakes.

Surviving are two nieces, Melissa (Keith) Foy and Renee Carper all of Roscommon; nephew, Jimmy Skagerberg and girl friend Stacie Ziebell both of Roscommon; five great nephews, Mason Smith, Keigan and Kaidan Foy, Logan Skagerberg and Junior Driver; four great nieces, Makayla Smith, Sophia Skagerberg and Alexis and Nemiah Carper; sister-in-law, Chris Griesbach of Roscommon and cousins, Barb (Clint) Stauffer, Dale (Debbie) Myer and Paul (Jennifer) Myer all of Roscommon.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Tomes; father, Red Skagerberg; and brother, James Lee Skagerberg

Funeral services were Dec. 9, 2017 at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon with Full Military Honors. Burial was at Pioneer Cemetery, Roscommon.

Memorial donations may be made to Roscommon County Veterans Affairs, Medical Transportation, 500 Lake St., Roscommon MI 48653.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon served the family.
