Anthony “Tony” M. Kauffman of Prudenville

Anthony “Tony” M. Kauffman, age 67, of Prudenville passed away Dec. 5, 2017 at Grand Traverse Pavilions in Traverse City.

Anthony was born on May 22, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to Anthony and Ruth (Lawrence) Kauffman. Tony served in the US Army from 1976 through 1979 as a truck driver and an expert with M-116 and hand grenade. He worked as a welder for Purvis in Traverse City and Oxford Automotive in Prudenville for many years. Tony was an avid bowler who loved to fish and spend time with family and friends.

Tony is survived by his brother Mark (Julie) Kauffman of Houghton Lake; daughter Tracy (Josh) Woodcock of Alma; life companion Yvonne Arnold of Prudenville; seven grandchildren, John, Lisa, Michael, Andrea, Ashley, Anthony, Brantley, and one on the way; one great-grandson, Evan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Judy; two daughters, Candy and Kristy; two sisters, Connie and Karen; one brother, Lenny; and a brother-in-law, Keith Brown.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted in the spring for Mr. Anthony M. Kauffman. Memorial contributions in memory of Anthony are asked to be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com.
