William Roger “Buzz” LaPrad Jr.

William Roger “Buzz” LaPrad Jr., 68, of Houghton Lake Heights passed away on Nov. 13, 2017 at home.

William was born on June 25, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Josephine (Peugh) LaPrad. He grew up in the Detroit area graduating from Selesian High School. William worked as a repairman for Answer Heating and Cooling and the last few years had worked and volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul in Prudenville. He was avid hunter and fisherman, always searching for the elusive bass in Houghton Lake.

Surviving Mr. LaPrad are his wife, Cheryle Needham-LaPrad of Houghton Lake Heights; daughter, Leslie (Jeffrey) Girardin of Mount Pleasant; and three granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Kayla, and Carly.

William was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services for William Roger “Buzz” LaPrad will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 from Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 from 12-1 pm at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel.
