Lorraine L. Shattuck of Roscommon

Lorraine L. Shattuck, 85, of Roscommon passed away Oct. 30, 2017 at Lakeside Vista in Holland, MI.

Lorraine was born in Highland Park Feb. 18, 1932 to Lynn and Norma (Griffin) Larive.

She was a lifetime Roscommon resident.

Lorraine married Paul A. Shattuck Oct. 7, 1950 in Prudenville.

She was employed for 37 years with ITT Hancock and Lear Corporation as a press operator, retiring in 2004.

She was a 1949 graduate of Roscommon High School. She was a member of the Gerrish-Higgins Roscommon Alumni Association where she enjoyed working on the all school reunion committee. She was a member of the Roscommon Area Historical Society and Roscommon Senior Center.

Her greatest joy was her grandkids and socializing with her family and friends. During her working years she also found time to knit, crochet and sew, including Barbie clothes for her daughter’ dolls. In her retirement years she enjoyed reading, playing bingo, garage sales and the occasional trip to the casino.

Surviving are three children, Susan (Russell) Lindsey of Denver, CO, Matthew (Adeline) Shattuck of Bloomfield Hills and Ann (Michael) Murphy of Holland; daughter-in-law, Mary Shattuck of Lincoln, IL; seven grandchildren, Whitney (Joshua) Baun, Samantha Shattuck (fianc+¬, Jason Dunn), Craig (Thomas) Shattuck, Emily (Matt) Bean, Maggie Shattuck, Sasha (Jack) Skendzel and Kirsten Murphy; three great grandchildren, Everett Baun, Elliott Bean and Brady Skendzel; and siblings, Marian Strilecky and James (Sandra) Larive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; son, Robert; and six brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 officiated by Rev. Father Richard Schaeffer.

Burial will be at Roscommon Village Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Roscommon Area Historical Society, PO Box 916, Roscommon MI 48653.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon served the family.
