Janice Joan Sprunger of Roscommon

Janice Joan Sprunger, 77, of Roscommon passed away Oct. 31, 2017 at The Lighthouse at Roscommon.

Janice was born in Albion March 16, 1940 to Kenneth C. and Rachel Blanche (Juckett) Post.

She married John D. Prunger June 4, 1950 in Albion.

She resided in Roscommon for two years, coming from Lansing.

Janice owned and operated a daycare in Lansing for over 30 years. She collected porcelain dolls. She enjoyed all crafts and cooking.

Surviving are her husband, John; two children, Don Sprunger of Houghton Lake and Tammy Bentley of Roscommon; Daughter-in-law: Anna Sprunger of Cooks; nine grandchildren, Byron, Carissa, Jonathan, Lynde, Jimmy, Donald J., Rachel, Bobbie Jo, and Michael; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Eleanor Soltis of Albion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ronnie and John Sprunger; two brothers, Sonny and James Post; and a sister, Elaine Post.

Funeral services were held at Roscommon Free Methodist Church, Roscommon Nov. 4, 2017 with Pastor David S. Stevens officiating.

Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Albion.

Memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Walsh Funeral home.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon is serving the family.
