Daniel Ward Boynton of Merritt

Daniel Ward Boynton, 62, of Merritt passed away on Wednesday November 8, 2017 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.

Dan was born on August 7, 1955 in Cadillac, Michigan to Ward and Norma (Nowlin) Boynton. He grew up in the Merritt area graduating from Lake City High School in 1973. Dan was a Master Plumber, and owned and operated Boynton Plumbing in Merritt.

On July 17, 2004 in Houghton Lake he was married to Linda Marie Larson. Dan was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed hunting, motorcycles, and his 1929 Coupe.

Surviving Mr. Boynton are his loving wife of 13 years, Linda Boynton of Merritt; two nieces, Vanessa Boynton of Houghton Lake; and Kim (Rich) Raab of Kalamazoo; three nephews, Benjamin Boynton of Houghton Lake, Kevin (Nhu) Boynton of England, and Kyle (Jane) Boynton of NY; great nieces and nephews, Nolan Raab, Kylie Boynton, Thaddeus Boynton, and George Boynton; and sister-in-law, Beverly Boynton of Kalamazoo.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael, and Rodger.

Memorial Services for Daniel Ward Boynton will be conducted at 11:00am on Friday November 17, 2017 from Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel with Pastor Joshua Henderson officiating. Interment will be in Stittsville Cemetery, Missaukee County. Visitation will be held on Friday November 17, 2017 from 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am.
