Holly Denise Shippy of Houghton Lake

Holly Denise Shippy, 44, of Houghton Lake passed away October 15, 2017 at home following a long illness.

She was born on August 17, 1973 in Grayling to Frederick and Balkis (Fathi) Shippy, and grew up in the Grayling and Houghton Lake areas. She graduated from Grayling High School.

Ms. Shippy was employed as a cashier by several retail businesses in the area and worked at the family sporting store in Houghton Lake, Rods and Rifles. She enjoyed spending time with family and especially being with her nieces and nephews.

Surviving are her; mother, Balkis Shippy of Grayling; brother, Steven T. Shippy of Saginaw; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Thomas Shippy, and brother, Frederick L. Shippy.

Memorial Services were conducted from Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church, Grayling, with Rev. Rich Burstall officiating.

Interment was in Moorestown Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Holly are asked to be directed to the family.

Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
