Richard ‘Dick’ L. Dilley of Higgins Lake

Richard ‘Dick’ L. Dilley, 78, of Higgins Lake passed away Aug. 20, 2017 at Gerrish Township.

He was born in Lansing March 21, 1937 to Archie and Madeline Irene (Whitehead) Dilley. He resided in Higgins Lake fulltime for 20 years, summers since 1973, coming from Haslett.

He and Sharon L. Johnston were married Aug. 22, 1959 in Lansing. He was employed as a commercial heating and cooling installer by Daily Heating and Air Conditioning in Lansing.

Mr. Dilley was a member of the Grayling Sportsman’ Club, NRA, Capital City Rifle Club and Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 7 Zone 1.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon; two children, Richard J. Dilley of Higgins Lake and Denise (Kevin) Sherman of Haslett; two grandchildren, Grant and Shane Sherman of Haslett and sister, Susanne (Mike) Johnston of Haslett.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services are today (Aug. 23) at 11 a.m. at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon officiated by Rev. Father Richard Schaeffer.

Memorial donations may be made to Grayling Sportsman’ Club.
