Mary Lou Scott of Houghton Lake

Mary Lou Scott, 85, of Houghton Lake, formerly of Clio, died July13 9, 2017 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

< >Visitation continues today (July 12) at Immanuel Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. officiated by Dr. David E. Hansen.< > < >Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. July at Thetford Township Cemetery.

< >She was born in Flint on February 16, 1932 to Eber Henry and Mary Beth (Stalker) Willson and married Duane Scott there February 14, 1951. They lived in Clio and moved to Houghton Lake in 1982.

< >A member of Immanuel Baptist Church, she could be found with the little ones in the church nursery whenever possible. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, and vegetable and flower gardening. She also enjoyed working on all types of puzzles including crossword, jigsaw and word searches.< >

< >Preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, Steven and Daniel Scott; grandson, Michael Scott; siblings, Eber Willson and Ruby Lambert.

< >Surviving are her husband, Duane; four children, Tom (Carol) Scott of Lakeland, FL, Kerry (Dale) Weaver of Ashkum, IL, Ann (Dan) Cunningham of Lowell, and Don (Anne) Scott of Clarkston; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a sister, Dora (John) McQuistion of Indianapolis, IN.< >

< >Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church or to the family for a charity to be determined later.

< >Arrangements are by Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon.
