Karen Ann Larive of Grayling

Karen Ann Larive, 63, of Grayling, passed away July 2, 2017 at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital.

She was born in Ann Arbor Jan. 24, 1954 to Peter Orlean and Angeline (Marisolo) Culver. She married Wayne A. Larive July 8, 1972 in Royal Oak.

Mrs. Larive resided in Grayling for two years, coming from St. Helen where she had lived since 1988. She also resided in Ormond Beach, Florida in 1983 – 1988 and Cypress, Texas 1978 – 1983.

She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Roscommon. She enjoyed collecting reborn dolls.

Surviving are her husband, Wayne; three children, Daniel Larive and fianc+¬, Samantha Jacob of Harrison, Christopher (Stacia) Larive of Cadillac and Angela (Kurt) Poreda of Osteen, FL; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Janice Dover of Deckerville and Debbie (Chuck) Wilson of North Muskegon.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael John Larive; granddaughter, Holly Larive; parents; three brothers, John, Jim, and Robert Culver; and brother-in-law, Bill Dover.

Funeral services were conducted at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon with Dr. David E. Hansen officiating. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen.

Memorial donations may be made to the family for an educational fund for the grandsons at Immanuel Christian School.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon is serving the family.
