Bruce LeRoy Danks of Roscommon

Bruce LeRoy Danks, 64, of Roscommon passed away June 28, 2017 at home.

Bruce was born May 25, 1953 in Amberg, Germany to George Jewell and Wanda Elaine (Greenman) Danks. He resided in Roscommon, Arizona, Kentucky, Gaylord, Romeo, West Branch and Flint, returning to Roscommon five years ago.

He married Karen D. Kalafut June 12, 2004 in Gaylord.

Mr. Danks was employed as an auto body mechanic by MSX International in Auburn Hills from 1990-2004. He was a member of the Model Railroad Association and he loved anything that moved especially cars and trains. He had been a volunteer fireman / EMT in Romeo. He enjoyed traveling and fishing and was just a big kid at heart.

Surviving are his wife, Karen; five children, John Danks (Brandy Linton) of Lennon, Allen Danks of Flint, Veronica (Chad) Lozen of Romeo, Anna (Timmy) Gascoyne of Richmond and George Danks of Romeo; four step-children, Christopher (Kelly) Willett of Madera, CA, Matthew (Traci) Willett of Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA, Keith (Vicky) Willett of Beaverton and Rose (Kim) Barnes of Higgins Lake; 19 grandchildren; a great-grandson; sister, Vicky (Fred) Martindale of Cheboygan; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services have been conducted. Ennichement was at Gerrish Township Cemetery.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon is serving the family.
