Richard Walter Wyszynski of Houghton Lake

Richard Walter Wyszynski, 74, of Houghton Lake, passed away June 11, 2017 at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital with his loving family by his side.

He was born on January 13, 1943 in Hamtramck to Edmund and Stella (Biesiadecki) Wyszynski, where he grew up and graduated from Hamtramck High School.

On May 12, 1967, Richard was married in Detroit to Carol Ann Wadino. He was employed as a truck driver and entrepreneur.

The couple owned restaurants in Lewiston, Mayville and the Pick Wick in Houghton Lake, and Richard had also owned a truckng company.

Mr. Wyszynski was a lifelong musician, playing in several bands from Detroit to Houghton Lake. He was an avid fisherman and loved boating and fishing on Houghton Lake. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Carol Ann Wyszynski of Houghton Lake; three daughters, Tracy Wyszynski of Houghton Lake, Sheri Wyszynski of Gaylord, and Jamie (Eric) Flickinger of Scotts; three grandchildren, Evan, Hannah, and Ayden; and brother, Edmund (Mary) Wyszynski Jr. of Crossville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation is June 16 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial follows there at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Sergott officiating.

Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake.

Memorial contributions in memory of Richard are asked to be directed to the Houghton Lake Lake Association.
