Patricia M. Miglio of Houghton Lake

Patricia M. Miglio, 76, of Houghton Lake, passed away June 17, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side.

She was born on December 1, 1940 in Detroit to Ralph and Elsie (Majszak) Giasson, where she grew up and graduated from Edwin Denby High School.

On May 8, 1970 in Harper Woods Patricia was married to Richard J. Miglio. She was employed as the Treasurer for the City of Harper Woods for many years before her retirement.

The Miglios had a home in Prudenville for many years and moved permanently to the Houghton Lake area from Harper Woods in 2001.

Mrs. Miglio was a member of several treasurer’s associations in southwest Michigan. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. She enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with family and friends, especially with her beloved husband, Richard.

Surviving are her loving husband of 47 years, Richard J. Miglio of Houghton Lake; five sisters, Sylvia (Robert) Tarvis of Houghton Lake, Ellen (Mark) Krikorian of Clinton Twp., Judy Windisch of Clinton Twp., Nancy (Ross) McIntee of Farmington Hills, and Lorraine Nuccio of Royal Oak; three brothers, David (Geraldine) Giasson of Sterling Heights, Raymond Giasson of Macomb, and Martin (Helena) Giasson of Clinton Twp.; brother-in-law, Michael Sluck of Houghton Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janet Lois Sluck.

Private family Celebration of Life Services will be conducted.

Memorial contributions in memory of Patricia are asked to be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
