Jack Robert Stevens of Roscommon

Jack Robert Stevens, 91, of Roscommon passed away June 15, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.

Jack was born Feb. 20, 1926 in Detroit to John Robert and Mary Alice (Stuart) Stevens. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, then married Eleanor J. Westrope March 25, 1944 in Detroit

Jack resided in Roscommon since 1969, coming from Mt. Clemens.

Mr. Stevens was a tool and die maker. He was employed by Eckerly Tool Co. then called White Pine Tool Co. for more than 20 years, retiring in 1989.

He was a life member of Charles M. Engel VFW Post 4159, Roscommon. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, bowling, travel and family gatherings.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; five daughters, Laura Stevens of Roscommon, Alice (Bob) Waterman of Roscommon, Joan (Gary) Scully of Rock Hill, SC, Carol (Jeff) Amyx of Oak Harbor, OH and Debbie Stevens and husband Ray Albrough of Alamogordo, NM; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joy Kincaid of Troy and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Leslie Stevens; daughter, Jacqueline Lucido; and brother, Stuart Stevens.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Roscommon Village Cemetery.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, is serving the family.
