Lois Ann Proper of Roscommon

Lois Ann Proper, 86, of Roscommon passed away March 21, 2017 at her residence.

She was born Oct. 11, 1930 in Lake City to Elmer Henry and Ruth Caroline (Sixbury) Plummer. She moved from Kalkaska to Roscommon in 1969, where she married John S. Proper on April 5, 1980.

Mrs. Proper was a beautician. She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, gardening, gopher hunting, baking and being a prankster.

Surviving are nine children, Betty Kay (Jon) Dymond of Auburn Hills, David (Betsy) Proper of Clarkston, Sherry (Jerry) Morgan of AZ, Charles (Linda) Morris of Holly, Charlene (Russ) Mudge of Lake City, Joan (Bill) Cullen of Westland, Rodney (Wendy) Proper of Shelby Township, Tammy (Kevin) Richards of Milan and Deanna (Jon, Jr.) Dymond of Shelby Township; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Nettie Fitzpatrick of FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Proper; son, Richard Morris; brother, Norm Plummer and two sisters, Jean Teets and Phyllis Byrd.

Private services will be conducted. Burial will be at Lake City Cemetery.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon is serving the family.
