Esther Anne Yaksich of Roscommon

Esther Anne Yaksich, age 88, of Roscommon, died March 31, 2017 at Crawford Continuing Care Center.

Esther was born in Fowlerville to Leo and Caroline L. (Wooden) Glover on July 26, 1928. She lived most of her life in the Roscommon/St. Helen area.

Mrs. Yaksich was employed as a clerk/typist at Tolfree Memorial Hospital in West Branch. She was a member of Markey Church, St. Helen Baptist Church, St. Helen School Board and past president of the St. Helen American Legion Post 416 Auxiliary.

She also was a volunteer for the Roscommon County Literacy Council. She enjoyed crocheting, watching TV, visiting with family and attending kid’ sports and school events.

She is survived by four children, Phyllis (Tom) Dale of Roscommon, Barbara (Brett Yardley) Gielincki of Prudenville, Robert (Kacey) Lacey of St. Helen and Gregory (Brenda Carrier) Lacey of St. Helen; 15 grandchildren, Erick (Courtney), Ashley (significant other, Gunnar), Dominic (Jennifer), Joshua (Kari), Christopher (Reagan), Erin (significant other, David), Anna (significant other, Mitch), Tessa (Tyson), Aaron (Sydney), John, Kristine, Joseph, Andrew, Joleah (Alan) and Jeremy (significant other, Holli); and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Harold Euler, Otis Lacey and John Yaksich and son-in-law, Mark Gielincki.

Services will be at 12 p.m. May 21 at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen with a lunch to follow at the Richfield Township Hall.

Memorials may be made to Munson Hospice. Arrangements are by Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon.
