Lawrence ‘Larry’ Korzecke

Lawrence “Larry” Korzecke, 78, of Roscommon, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City with his family by his side.

Larry was born on May 17, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to Leon and Agnes (Niewola) Korzecke. He worked as a Stock Broker for Merle Lynch and Roney & Company in Detroit and New York City before retiring and moving to the Higgins Lake area in 1999. Larry was married to Alicia M. Ciolek on October 25, 1969 in New York. Larry enjoyed spending time outdoors and watching the wildlife.

Surviving Mr. Korzecke are his loving wife of 47 years, Alicia Korzecke of Roscommon; daughter, Eleonor Moore of Roscommon; son, Phillip (Peggy) Kotkiewicz of Allen Park; granddaughter, Karla (Ford) Wiles of Birmingham, Alabama; great grandchildren, Falcon and Truth; brother, Ronald (Lois) Korzecke of Perry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, James.

Funeral Services for Lawrence “Larry” Korzecke will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017 from Christler Funeral Home- Houghton Lake Chapel with Father Bernard Tyler officiating.

Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery, Markey Township in the spring.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in memory of Larry are asked to be directed to the American Cancer Society.
