Karyn Kay Mattson of Roscommon

Karyn Kay Mattson, 60 of Roscommon, previously of Suttons Bay and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, passed on June 5, 2016 at her residence.

Visitation and funeral services are to be held at Walsh Funeral Home on June 11, 2016 at 3 pm. Burial will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery , Pickford.

Ms. Mattson was an accomplished artist working in oil painting and photography and her love of animals was evident in her work. She loved to read, especially her Bible.

Karyn was preceded in death by her father, Glenn and a stepson, Ryan Quigley.

She is survived by two children and their fathers, Kara (Patrick) Witt of Roscommon and her father, Robert Quigley of Sault Ste. Marie and Sean Brabant of Grayling and his father, Jerry Brabant of Roscommon, a stepdaughter, Erin (Todd) Hendrix of Holland.

Also surviving are her mother, Donna Mattson of Suttons Bay and siblings, Bruce Mattson of Sault Ste. Marie and Karol (Tim) Haring of Lake Leelanau, and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made to benefit the art program at Kirtland Community College through Kirtland Community College Foundation, 10775 N. St. Helen Road, Roscommon, MI 48653.
