ROSCOMMON COUNTY- Region 9 Area Agency on Aging is hosting a free Caregiver Empowerment and Wellness Conference on Mon. Apr. 24, at the Northern Michigan Banquet and Event Center (7784 Stone School Road, Houghton Lake, Michigan 48629) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s keynote speaker will be renowned dementia care trainer and author of Personal Positioning for the Caregiver,Jill Gafner Livingston, BSBM, CDP, CADDCT. Jill will be presenting on Caregiver Survival. Other topics include Coping with Change, Grief and Loss, Community Resources: Trualta and Region 9 Area Agency on Aging, and Stress Less with Mindfulness.
There will be a complimentary breakfast and lunch along with great door prizes and an array of vendors. All caregivers are welcome to attend this free, fun, and informative conference.
