Citizens honor fallen vets in Memorial Day cermonies

ROSCOMMON – About 100 people turned out for the Annual Memorial Day ceremony in downtown Roscommon yesterday, complimenting the dozens of ceremonies across Northeast Michigan.

Representatives from the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Auxiliaries from both participated in ceremonies at five county cemeteries, culminating in the service in Roscommon.

Carol Koscinski sang the national anthem.

Houghton Lake and Mio held their annual Memorial Day parades.
