FAIRVIEW – Up North Voice is please to announce the addition of Mike Salsbury of Fairview to its staff as a writer / photographer.
Originally from Bryan, Ohio, the home of Etch-A-Sketch and Dum-Dum Suckers, Salisbury earned Bachelor degrees in both English and theatre from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He later earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting and directing from Regent University in Virginia Beach.
Always a writer, Mike has earned his living in multiple careers including teacher, actor, director, and music minister, among others.
Salsbury recently moved to Fairview with his wife, Sandy, to be near Mike’s parents, Bob & Jan Salsbury, and his brother Kevin and his family. Their daughter, Kate, son-in-law, Gabe and seven-month old grandson, Gideon reside in Virginia Beach Virginia.
“Having visited the area for years, (we) are truly looking forward to getting to know the people who make northeast Michigan such a great place to live,” Salibury said.
Up North Voice Editor Mark Constance said Mike will be a great addition to the AuSable Media team.
“Mike brings a diverse background that will help us in our efforts to do a better job covering the communities of Northeast Michigan, focusing on the positive people and unique place we live,” Constance said.
Salsbury is expected to primarily cover the communities of Mio, Fairview, Luzerne and Comins.
