Roscommon man arrested in Higgins for meth

ROSCOMMON COUNTY – On Saturday, July 22 at approximately 10:08 p.m. a trooper from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Houghton Lake Post conducted a traffic stop on M-18 near Roberta Drive in Higgins Township.

The driver, identified as 47-year-old Christopher Allen Massingill from Roscommon, was driving on a suspended license and had a felony warrant for his arrest. During his arrest, the trooper found a glass pipe and two plastic baggies. One baggie contained a white crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and the other a brown powdery substance that tested positive for heroin.

Massingill was lodged in the Roscommon County Jail.

Massingill was arraigned in the 82nd District Court in Roscommon County for one count Possession Methamphetamine, one count Possession Narcotics less than 25 grams, and one count Driving While License Suspended Second Offense.

His bond was set at $50,000 or 10 percent surety.
