Cadillac resident arraigned for assault with a dangerous weapon

WEXFORD COUNTY – On Thursday, November 3, 2022, troopers from the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post were dispatched to a residence on Fern Avenue in Selma Township for a report of a felonious assault. The victim alleged her boyfriend, 33-year-old Christopher Robert Poisson from Cadillac, threatened her with a knife during an argument on October 21st.

The victim provided troopers with an audio recording of the incident. Poisson denied the allegations, but agreed to leave the residence. A report was submitted to the Wexford County Prosecutor’s Office.

A warrant was authorized on December 1, 2022. Poisson was arrested on December 4, 2022, and lodged in the Wexford County Jail.

Poisson was arraigned on December 5, 2022, in the 84th District Court in Wexford County on one count Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
