Sheriff delivers LifeVacs to schools

ROSCOMMON – The Roscommon County Sheriff’s Auxiliary met with several school superintendents today to present them with LifeVacs for their schools.

These devices are simple to operate to clear someone’s airway of an obstruction when someone is choking. The Sheriff’s Auxiliary is focused on projects strengthening the safety of our community and took on this program as one of their outreach projects for 2022.

The Sheriff’s Auxiliary has purchased LifeVacs to be put into the Houghton Lake Community Schools, Roscommon Area Public Schools, Charlton Heston Academy, Our Lady of the Lake, the Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center, the Roscommon County Senior Centers, the Roscommon County Jail, and Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Vehicles.
