Men sought for Nottingham park were there to assist homeowner

GAYLORD – Michigan State Police (MSP) officials sought assistance from area residents when two men who were not apparently authorized to be in in Nottingham Forest Mobile Home Park after the May 20 tornado struck the region.

Two men were observed rummaging through debris at a residence in the park. The men were confronted and fled the scene into the woods on the south side of the park. A photo of the men was released to the public.

A man in the photograph contacted the MSP Gaylord Post shortly after the news release was disseminated and he has been identified. Both men have been interviewed and it was determined they were there at the request of a homeowner to locate an item in the debris.

This has been verified by the homeowner
