Richfield Township Public Library awarded grant

ST. HELEN – The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is eager to announce that the Richfield Township Public Library was presented a grant of $1,050.00 to help with expanding family literacy. Funding for this project was provided by the Roscommon County Kellogg Youth Fund.

With the grant the library was able to purchase new family friendly furniture. Items such as wobble chairs, tables and chairs that are fun and easy to clean. They also bought a shape sorter rug. “The kids love to build towers and topple them or sort the seating blocks by shape and color.” Stated Bethany Romanowski, Library Director. It is important that the seating is fun for the children and comfortable for the parents! This will encourage families to visit more often and increase the time spent reading.
