HALE- This years’ homecoming week was, quite literally, a blast from the past. Unfortunately, Hale High School was unable to provide a Varsity Football team for the 2023 season. Our alumni were asked to participate in a flag football competition for a replacement homecoming game. If it wasn’t for the sore backs and knees, a homecoming game wouldn’t have been feasible. Our half-time King and Queen announcement went as follows; Felicity Hicks as homecoming Queen and Zander Johnson as homecoming King representing the 2024 senior class!

Our other representatives for the senior class were as follows; Laken Caverly, Alex Wanty, Aidan Egresics, Arianna Keopke, Erica Bernard, and Reece Ready. Our representatives for the junior class were Isabella Coutts and Cole Keopke. The representatives for the sophomore class were Methias Rembowski and Rowan Hood. And finally, our freshman representatives were Cordeila Streeter and Blake Chrivia.

The theme for the week was genres. The seniors had hip hop, juniors had country, sophomores had pop, and freshmen had rap. The winners of spirit week were the seniors! The homecoming parade included the banners that each grade created for spirit week. I’ve asked some students how they felt about the dance and this is what they had to say. Senior Emily Bain says, “For my senior year, I was really hoping for our homecoming to be good and it really was. We were all super hype and I really appreciate how the seniors were recognized with the decorations this year too! I will definitely be missing it!”. Freshman Jacob Martin says, “ It was honestly great and so was the cotton candy! I really liked the dances we all did as a group. It was super fun!”.
