Hospice needs some helpers; Training to start in October

NORTHERN MICHIGAN – Are you near West Branch, Bay City, or Gladwin?

MyMichigan Hospice is looking for volunteers. Hospice helps people who are very sick and their families feel better. You can be a friend to someone who is sick, or give family members time to rest.

To be a volunteer, you need to learn a few things first.

MyMichigan Hospice is teaching new volunteers on two days. The first day is Friday, October 27, and the second is Thursday, November 2. Each day starts at 8:30 in the morning and ends at 2:30 in the afternoon. The place for training is Woodland Hospice House, which is at 2597 S. Meridian Road in Mt. Pleasant. You need to go to both days to be a volunteer.

Want to help? Sign up online at //www.mymichigan.org/volunteers. If you have questions, call Cindy Lutz at (989) 633-1467. She’s the one who helps new volunteers get started. This is a great way to help people in your community.
