LEELANAU CO. – Troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Cadillac Post participated in the first annual All-American Shoot Out held at the Northport Gun Club in Northport over the weekend. This event was a fundraiser that benefits the Gold Star Family Scholarship Fund. The scholarship provides the dependents of fallen service members currently living in the northern Michigan area a $1,000 scholarship to help further their education.
The MSP Team from the Cadillac Post consisting of Troopers Timothy Halvorsen, Jason Tropf, Matthew Unterbrink and is son took first place. The event raised over $14,000 for the Gold Star Family Scholarship Fund.
