Camp Daggett offers great activities for families this winter

PETOSKEY, MI – The Bearcub Outfitters Torchlight Snowshoe outing is back on both January 29 and February 26. This year’s events require advanced registration. Enjoy the peaceful ambiance of trekking across snow-covered trails illuminated by more than 100 torches. Afterward, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies while warming up a bit by the campfire. Raffle tickets are available for purchase and you can enter to win various featured products from Bearcub Outfitters with all proceeds going to Camp Daggett. Don’t own snowshoes? Bearcub Outfitters will have plenty available to borrow for all ages. Admission is free but donations are encouraged to support Camp Daggett. This year’s event requires advanced registration to facilitate social distancing. All activities will take place outdoors and masks are required while being fitted for snowshoes in order to provide a COVID-careful experience. Fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers or big brothers are invited to bring their sons (ages 7-14) for a fun-filled Father/Son weekend, February 11-13 at Camp Daggett. Cost is $200 for father/son, plus $50 for each additional family member. There are only a few spots left and registration is on a first come first served basis.. Participants can expect a weekend of fun and adventure as they try their hands at various outdoor activities and enjoy a wild game dinners in front of the lodge fireplace. The weekend will include expectations that include masking indoors to provide a COVID-careful experience. For additional information or to register, please contact Ed Leverenz at Camp Daggett, 231-347-9742 ext 112.
