By Denise Fletcher

ROSE CITY – Rose City Lupton Chamber of Commerce hosted the Music Fest Market in the Park in August.

Carl McGregor President “This is my second term as the president of Rose City Lupton Chamber of Commerce. I do own a business, Sunrise Café located in Lupton. I worked 23 years in a shop before I became a restaurant owner with my wife Kenalee McGregor. I love all our customers that come in our café which is in Lupton right outside the Ri?e River Recreation Area State Park.”

“I wasn’t involved in The Music in the Park three years ago, and we didn’t have it last year. This is my ?rst year coordinating Music in the Park, it is a lot of team effort, the hardest part is getting donations to fund the event. It is raining today so there’s nothing we could do about the weather.”

“I have been a local all of my life, I have lived nowhere else. I literally known my wife most of my life, our parents were friends, Kenalee one-year-old and I was two.”

Quoted from Rose City Lupton Chamber website: The primary role of the Rose City-Lupton Chamber of Commerce is to improve the economic climate, business environment, and quality of living throughout the area. Our vision is to create a truly regional, active, and vital partnership between community and business in order to build a healthy marketplace and enriched environment.

“I have a table set up today where kids can do some different fun activities they can make a spinner, or make a glider, and they also can measure how much sugar is in different drinks they might consume. So, they can see if they’re consuming healthy drinks. We need more people interested in promoting the 4-H programs.”
