Grayling Spotlight-A-Member

CRAWFORD COUNTY – The Crawford Partnership for Substance Abuse was named the Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce Ambassador’s Club March Spotlight-A-Member.

Crawford Partnership For Substance Abuse Prevention (CPSAP) was formed 10 years ago by members of the community who wanted to raise awareness and provide education on substance use issues in the community. CPSAP was instrumental in getting two prescription drug drop-off barrels in Grayling.

The partnership is staffed by volunteers from across the area. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month from 9-11 at the Grayling City Hall.

What product or service does your business provide?
CPSAP provides drug prevention education and encourages everyone to get the facts regarding all substance use-especially for youth.

What is a product/service that you provide that people may not know?
Crawford County has two drop-off locations for unused/old prescription drugs at the County Building and at Grayling City Hall. Everyone is encouraged to use these drop boxes to get unneeded medications out of circulation.

What is a unique fact about your business that people may not know?
CPSAP is made up of community members from every walk of life-medical professionals, business people, government employees, law enforcement, counselors, people in recovery, and those who have been touched by the opioid crisis. We welcome anyone from the community who would like to help be a part of the solution.

Additional information you wish to share:

CPSAP is partnering with MSU Extension for a free documentary screening and symposium to discuss the opioid crisis and its effects on Crawford County, at the Kirtland Health Sciences Center Grayling Campus on April 12, 2018, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
