WEST BRANCH – Come one, Come all.
The West Branch Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Business & Community Expo, Job Fair and Home Show tomorrow.
The event is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. at Surline Elementary in West Branch. It will bring together dozens of local businesses, community groups and visitors for an upbeat evening of info, connections and fun. The event is free to the public. There will also be food trucks available on site as well.
Along with many other businesses, Up North Voice publisher Mark Constance will be there visiting with readers and advertisers. The team will also have a few surprise giveaways for participants!
Guests can enjoy vendors, raffles, giveaways and speakers throughout the evening. Organizers are also introducing a new “Home Show” addition this year, giving visitors even more to explore and learn about. The event highlights local business services, job opportunities and community resources, all in one place.
Speakers include:
- 5:15 p.m. – Heather Neuhaus of the West Branch Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau. Heath will present community events and updates.
- 5:30 p.m. – Gail Hughey, superintendent of West Branch-Rose City Schools. Hughey will speak on “Strong Schools Build Strong Communities.”
- 5:45 p.m. – Nick Chambers, store manager of The Home Depot in West Branch. Chambers will talk about the stores involvement in the community.
- 6 p.m. – Officer John Evans will introduce K-9 dog “Diego.” Evans will explain how the police dog is cared for, and how it helps keep people safe.
- 6:30 p.m. – Shane Noble, Michigan State Police community service trooper, will make a presentation on scam awareness.
The expo offers a great opportunity for area residents to support local businesses, learn about community services and connect with friends and neighbors in a positive setting.
“I hope everyone can attend,” Constance said. “Ogemaw County has a thriving business community and this is their chance to show off a little. And now that Spring is a little closer, this is also a chance for people to get out and have a little fun as well.”
