RADL features “Women in the Auto Industry”

ROSCOMMON – On Thursday, January 25th at 4:30pm, Zonta of Roscommon and the Roscommon Area District Library will be offering a free program for all to attend.
Fred Colgren of the Gilmore Car Museum will present on the history of
Women in the Auto Industry, their contributions, and accomplishments.

“Women began finding work when World War I began in 1914; they had to take
the jobs of men who had gone to war. A wide range of jobs needed filling.
Automotive machines were in large production around this time to supply
the United States and other countries with vehicles for war. This was the
start of women playing important roles in the American automotive
industry.” – Fred Colgren, Gilmore Car Museum.

Individuals with questions about this event should contact Casey Adams at
the Roscommon Library, 989-281-1305.
