Fairytale Cinderellas coming to Grayling

GRAYLING – Grayling High School Players presents, “67 Cinderellas” by Stacey Lane and directed by Chad Patterson .

This is a new take on a favorite Fairytale… unlike the original “Cinderella” this one starts at the Ball where King Cornelius (Senior Noah Shambarger) and Queen Carmen (Senior Lea Hilliker) have invited all of the eligible ladies of the kingdom to find a bride for their daydreaming son Prince Dalliance (Freshman Chase Mead). The Prince dances with a beautiful and mysterious maiden “Cinderella” (Sophomore Olivia Van De Ven) who leaves at the stroke of midnight.

We know that part of the story…. what unfolds after that in this story is the search for the foot that fits the slipper. The silly Prince believes that the slipper has a magical property and no matter who the shoe fits he is destined to marry. So women from every nook and cranny of the countryside gather to try on the slipper.

In this search these women do whatever they can to convince the Prince that they were the girl who suddenly left the Ball. After 66 girls, and four almost weddings. Prince Dalliance finally finds his girl….. but is it who we think?

This is a fun play and very family appropriate. It has a lot of the familiar “Cinderella” characters but with different motivations. Step-mother (Senior Chantel Maczorowski) and step-sisters (Senior Carlie Wilson and Junior Madison Iwinski) are sure to steal some laughs. Along with cameos from other Fairytale characters you are sure to have fun!

The show takes place at Grayling High School Auditorium on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 8 and 9 at 6:30 p.m. each night.

Admission is $5 for students/Senior Citizens and $7 for adults.
