Concerts in Coleman welcomes the Capital City Ringers on Saturday, Dec. 2

COLEMAN – Faith United Methodist Church in Coleman is pleased to present a concert on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 by The Capital City Ringers, an auditioned community nonprofit handbell ensemble from Lansing, Michigan under the direction of Nicole Leppala. Come and experience the beauty, majesty and versatility of amazing music ranging from popular seasonal music to new compositions! The concert will begin at 7 p.m., admission is $5.

The Capital City Ringers were formed in 1984 to give an opportunity for advanced handbell ringers to grow, learn, and promote the art of handbell ringing by providing a high quality musical experience for diverse audiences. These advanced ringers come from the extended Lansing area. They volunteer their time and talents and are committed to community service projects and concert performances in the surrounding area. They have performed all across Michigan and the United States east of the Mississippi River, including Disney World in Florida. The Capital City Ringers are known for their musical expression and dynamic interpretation of the music they play on more than 150 Malmark handbells and handchimes, along with a variety of percussion instruments and possibly a few surprises!

The Concerts in Coleman series by the Faith United Methodist Church strives to bring high quality artistic performances to Coleman that area residents might not have access to otherwise. The concert will be held Dec. 2, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. A reception for the audience and performers will be held following the show. Admission is $5.
