Phyllis Marie Brotherton of Houghton Lake

Phyllis Marie Brotherton, 76, of Houghton Lake died Jan. 6, 2018 at Grayling Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.

Phyllis was born in Benton Harbor on Jan. 28, 1941 to Oral Dee and Lucille Genevieve (McKibbin) Williamson.

She married Fritz W. Brotherton on April 18, 1985 in Kalamazoo.

Phyllis had been an administrative assistant at Don Seelye Ford in Kalamazoo.

Phyllis was an artist. She enjoyed photography, fishing and cats.

Surviving are her husband Fritz Brotherton of Houghton Lake; five children, Jeff Brotherton of Cleveland, OH, Bud (Kathy) Kolenko of Middleville, Scott Brotherton and companion, Sharon Pelligrino of Fairview Heights, OH, Sandy (Kip) Landry of Coopersville and Marc Kolenko of Portage; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Joan) Williamson of FL; and sister, Marilyn Timmons of Lawrence.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Mike Kolenko; daughter, Amy Brotherton and brother, Joe Williamson.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wed. Jan. 10, 2018 at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon. Burial will be at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma.

Memorial donations may be made to Roscommon County Animal Shelter, 1110 Short Dr., Prudenville, MI 48651.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon is serving the family.
