Harry Arthur Walbridge of Roscommon

Harry Arthur Walbridge, 90, of Roscommon passed away Nov. 29, 2016 at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital.

He was born in Wyandotte on Feb. 2, 1926 to Durwood and Ida May (Woodums) Walbridge. He resided in Roscommon since 1973 and Delta Center, coming from Riverview. He was united in marriage to Marjorie A. Tait on May 7, 1977 in Rose City.

Mr. Walbridge was a member of First Congregational Church, Roscommon. He was employed as a correspondent for General Motors, a teacher and counselor at Riverview Schools, Director of Financial Aid at Delta College and finally a counselor at Gerrish-Higgins Schools from 1973 to 1987.

He also was a member of the Roscommon Rotary. He had been Worshipful Master of Roscommon Masonic Lodge 364 F & AM, life member of Houghton Lake/Roscommon Masonic Lodge 579 F & AM, Mackinac Chapter 134 Royal Arch Masons of Michigan, recorder for Sunrise Council 93 R & SM, recorder for Iosco Chapter 83 Royal Arch Masons of Michigan, Cheboygan Commandery 50 Knights Templar of Gaylord, Supreme Council Order of the Amaranth, Inc. Madison Court 11 of West Branch, and Past Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Michigan. He was also a charter member and past King Lion of the Roscommon/Higgins Lake Lions.

Surviving are his wife, Marge; two children, Seth (Donna) Walbridge of Deer Park, TX and Amy Sue (Eric) Hollis of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren, Christian, Lauren and Cameron Hollis and Amy Nichole (Jacob) Clowers; and two great-grandchildren, Madyson and Lane Clowers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris Craft.

Mr. Walbridge will lie in state at First Congregational Church in Roscommon Dec. 2 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. when a Masonic Memorial Service will be held, and Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m.
