Dennis Duane Pearce of Roscommon

Dennis Duane Pearce, 61, of Roscommon passed away Dec. 8, 2016 at Lake Township due to injuries suffered in an accident on Northbound US 127.

He was born in Detroit on April 9, 1955 to Richard Duane and Ethel Fay (King) Pearce.

He married Laura L. Raines on May 10, 1997 in New Hudson.

Mr. Pearce resided in Roscommon since 2006, Flat Rock for a year, and South Lyon for seven years, coming from New Hudson. He retired in 2009 as a team leader at Ford Motor Co., 27 years at the Rouge Plant and eight years at Flat Rock. He loved fixing cars.

Surviving are his wife, Laura; six children, Ron (Laura) Pearce of Novi, Dan (Kyna) Pearce of Canton, Erin (Ruben) Mauricio of CA, Victoria Pearce of Ann Arbor, Rachel Marshall of Ecorse and Elizabeth Pearce of Roscommon; 13 grandchildren; and mother, Ethel Pearce of Roscommon.

Also surviving are three sisters, Marilyn (Mike) Shunk of Howell, Rhonda (Howard) Blair of Douglasville, GA and Pamela (Mitchell) Johnson of Pinckney; brother, Mark Pearce of Roscommon; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The family will receive friends Dec. 16 at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon from 11:30 a.m. until services at 2 p.m. Brandon Rodgers will officiate. Burial will be at Pioneer Cemetery, Roscommon.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
