David Lynn Baum, 60, of Houghton Lake, passed away December 17, 2016 at home with his loving family by his side.
He was born on October 25, 1956 in Wayne to Ralph and Marjorie (Becker) Baum.
Mr. Baum was employed as an independent truck owner/operator, hauling freight for several companies. He moved to the Houghton Lake area from Ypsilanti Township five years ago. He was a member of the Houghton Lake Eagles and the Houghton Lakes Elks. He enjoyed riding his side-by-side and spending time on his boat.
Surviving are his daughter, Susi Baum of MI; son, Timmy of MI; three brothers, Clifford of FL, and Bob and John, both of MI; two sisters Lori Maddox of FL and Anna Taleesie of MI; mother, Marjorie Ligmal of FL; longtime companion, Peggy McMullen of Houghton Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph.
At the request of Mr. Baum no services will be held.
Memorial contributions in memory of David are asked to be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
