Rosie Bloos of Houghton Lake

Rosie Bloos, age 67, of Houghton Lake passed away November 15, 2016 at St. Mary’ Medical Center in Saginaw.

She was born on August 8, 1949 in San Jose, California to Berto and Josephine (Retes) Mata. She moved to Houghton Lake 30 years ago from San Jose. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her church family. She was a member of the Houghton Lake Church of Christ.

Surviving are her mother; Josephine Mata, sister, Anna Castaneda , and nephews, Andrew (Gloria) Barreto, James (Sonia) Barreto, Angelo (fianc+¬ Alex) Mata, and Johnthan Castaneda, all of San Jose, Ca.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation is scheduled at Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel Nov. 18 from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Mr. Don Wray officiating.

Burial will take place at Denton Township Cemetery in Prudenville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.christler-holdship.com.
