Pumpkin Junkin Spooktacular at CHA

ST. HELEN–Charlton Heston Academy hosted Octobers Family Fun Night called Pumpkin Junkin on October 27. The evening was planned by the CHA PTO and hosted by PTO member Jennifer Romancky Austin. The ‘Junk’ that was donated to decorated the pumpkins was donated by students, staff, parents, and community members. Also donated was 125 pumpkins from Walmart of Houghton Lake and 35 more pumpkins were donated by Home Depot. There were about 130 pumpkins sold which places roughly 260-300 people in attendance.

While pumpkins were decorated there were other activities happening such as face painting, temporary tattoo station, five different Halloween games, paper ghost sucker making station along with bottled water and cookies for all. There was a raffle that took place for an inflatable ghost, which was won by Sarah Bednarik.

PTO President Tracy Cruz expressed her many thanks to Jennifer for doing such an amazing job on this family fun night.

After the event there were volunteers from the St. Helen Optimist club, CHA Cheerleaders and PTO members along with volunteers from the National Honors Society to clean up from all the spooktacular fun had by all.
