Chamber Chatter: So little time, so much to do

By Bev VanMeter

When I hear someone say “There is nothing to do,” I just want to scream.
We might not be the big city but within Roscommon County there is a lot to do and see. With the leaves changing and the weather a bit cooler, it is the perfect time to explore. Whether you choose to do it by walking, bike riding, golf cart, 4X4 or just driving your car – get out and enjoy what Mother Nature is showing us.

“Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” Roald Dahl

Keep Saturday, Dec. 3 open for the annual Santa Parade through St Helen. This year the St Helen Optimist Club is handling the parade again and everyone is welcome. Whether you want to put in a float, view the parade or meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, this is always a heart-warming evening! I truly love being involved and seeing all the children telling Santa their secret wishes!

“One kind word can warm three winter months.” Japanese proverb

Our meeting in November has not been decided yet due to the holidays. Please remember to shop local especially during the holiday months. As a business owner, we depend on the weather to bring in the customers but we depend on YOU!
