Thomas Jeffrey Felton

Thomas Jeffrey Felton, 34, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Oct. 10, 2016 at his home.

Thomas was born in Lapeer on April 23, 1982 to Jeffrey Felton and Dianna (Purvis) Felton.

He married Danielle Cristine Peterson on April 17, 2004 in Roscommon.

Thomas was an Apprentice Electrician. He was a member of Roscommon Baptist Church.

Thomas was a lance corporal serving as an electrical equipment repair specialist in the Marine Corps Reserves and was called to active duty twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2003 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004.

He was an honorary member of Charles M. Engel VFW Post #4159 and a former member of Marine Corps League Cpl. Jack A. Davenport Detachment 684. He loved his children and enjoyed being a stay at home dad and having the opportunity to home-school them and work the family’ hobby farm. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, riding in the woods and watching the Detroit Tigers.

Surviving are his wife Danielle, five children, Wyatt, Emelia, Morgan, Warren and Willa; mother, Dianna (Roger) Martin; father, Jeffrey (Joannie) Felton; five siblings; and many Marine Corps brothers.

Funeral service will be held Oct 15, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Roscommon Baptist Church officiated by Michael Ritchie. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service.

Memorial donations may be made to the family for educational funds for all of the children.

Arrangements were handled by Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon.
